Absent Voter Application For All Elections
ABSENTEE BALLOT REQUESTS
Absent Voter Ballots are available for all elections. You may vote by absentee ballot if you can
answer "yes" to any of the following:
- You are 60 years of age or older.
- You expect to be absent from the community in which you are registered for the entire time the
polls are open on election day.
- You are unable to attend the polls without assistance.
- You cannot attend the polls because of the tenets of your religion.
- You have been assigned to work as an election inspector in a precinct other than the precinct
where you reside.
- You cannot attend the polls because you are confined to jail awaiting arraignment or trial.
If you answered "yes" to any of the above, you may request an absent voter ballot application. A
pre-printed absent voter ballot application is available from the Clerk, or you may download an application by clicking here. You may also mail or fax the
Clerk your request in letter form which must inlcude your name, registered address, mailing address (if different than registered address), the reason you are requesting an absent voter ballot, your signature and the date of your request.
You may request in writing to be added to a permanent absent voter application list. Once on the list, an application will automatically be mailed to you for each election, unless a dual application
is used (such as a Primary and General Election within the same year).
