Old Mission Lighthouse

The Park Commission is planning to open the Old Mission Lighthouse for tours this summer. In the past, the only time the lighthouse could be toured was during Log Cabin Days. A Lighthouse Keepers Program is being implemented for this summer. A Keeper pays a nominal fee to live and work in the lighthouse for a set period of time. Heritage Road

An official “ribbon cutting” celebration will be held on May 17 at 1 pm at Fire Station No. 2. Come by to meet the MDOT officials and talk with the local committee members about your thoughts on utility pole locations, roadside parks/overlooks, bicycle/pedestrian trails and dangerous intersections.
