RESIDENTS OF PENINSULA TOWNSHIP: The township has taken steps to make its website interactive and ADA compliant. In the process, documents such as minutes, agendas, board packets, forms, ordinances, and the like were eliminated due to the extraordinary cost of converting the information to ADA standards. At the request of residents, these non-compliant ADA documents may now be accessed on this page. Residents who need extra assistance acquiring copies of these documents may contact the Director of Planning & Zoning's office at 231.223.7314 or [email protected].

General Information Planning Commission Bylaws Fiscal 2024-2025 Regular Meeting Schedule Master Plan Draft: Following the 2019 Community Survey the Planning Commission formed a subcommittee to work with staff to update the 2011 master plan. Peninsula Township released an updated draft master plan to adjacent jurisdictions for comment on December 8, 2021. Comments were due February 21, 2022. After a pause, the Planning Commission has reviewed the 2021 draft and made revisions to correct typos, grammatical errors as well as corrections to content for accuracy. The Planning Commission held a public hearing on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, and recommended that the draft move forward to the board for another public hearing to be held on July 9, 2024. A redlined version and clean version of the current draft is dated June 26, 2024. This draft incorporates further revisions as recommended by the planning commission on June 4th. The board will take additional public comment during the public hearing on July 9, 2024 and may take action to adopt the draft master plan following the public hearing that evening. If the board requests any revisions to the current draft, they will go back to the planning commission for review and approval and then back to the board again for adoption Please forward any comments on the June 26, 2024, draft master plan to Jenn Cram, Director of Planning and Zoning at [email protected].
